WHAT DO I GET?
-You will receive 60 pounds of individually packaged cuts such as:
Baby back ribs, loin chops, sirloin roasts, pork belly, fresh ham steaks, hocks, tenderloin, shoulder steaks, lard, offal, spare ribs, country style ribs, breakfast sausage, sweet italian sausage, spicy italian sausage and more! Each package weighs 1# to 1.5# and is processed by our local, USDA inspected butcher, The Royal Butcher in Braintree, VT. Expect around 50 to 55 packages. A half pig typically makes:
2 Leaf lard
3 Rib chops
4 Shoulder steaks
5 Ham steaks
4 Loin chops
6 Country style ribs
2 Baby back ribs
3 Spare ribs
1 Sirloin roast
5 Pork belly
1 Breakfast sausage
1 Sweet italian sausage
1 Spicy italian sausage
2 Plain ground
*If the 60# is not met with cuts, the remainder will be comprised of sausage and ground. Substitutions must be submitted prior to ordering.
-If you reside within 1 hour from our farm, then you will receive free delivery to your home or office. If you are over an hour away, no worries, just message us to see if we can deliver to where are you located. Can't fit all of this into your freezer? That's okay! Just ask about incremental delivery; if you live close enough it may be free for you to receive multiple, smaller deliveries.
WHY CHOOSE SNOWBERRY FARM?
-Here on the farm we would like to think that we raise the best pork in Vermont and I wouldn't be lying if I told you that we did offer some of the finest gourmet pork around. We believe that there are 3 key factors to raising gourmet pigs:
1) Diet - Variety of nutrition is key. We supplement around 50% of their diet with organic fruits and vegetables coming from right here on the farm. They also receive over 1 ton/week of brewers grain from a local brewery.
2) Breed(s) - Slower growing breeds for quality muscle growth and exquisite marbling.
3) Well being - Our animals are not confined to cages, receive belly rubs daily and are all named to ensure that each individual animal gets the attention they deserve.
